Permanent makeup uses cosmetic pigmentation techniques to create effects that last months to years before fading — brows that don’t wash off in the rain, lips with constant color, eyeliner that survives a workout. Microblading

Microblading creates the appearance of individual brow hairs through fine incisions filled with pigment. The technique uses a manual blade (not a machine), which allows the artist to draw strokes that mimic real hair growth direction, spacing, and thickness. The result, when done well, is indistinguishable from natural brows even at close range. Microblading is ideal for clients with sparse brows, gaps from over-tweezing or alopecia, or anyone who spends significant daily time filling in their brows. The initial session includes a detailed consultation about brow shape, mapping of your bone structure to determine the most flattering arch, and pigment selection matched to your hair color and skin tone. A touch-up session is included and scheduled four to six weeks after the initial appointment to refine the healed result. Results last 12 to 18 months before a touch-up is needed. Pricing from $280.

Ombre Powder Brows

Ombre powder brows use a machine technique to deposit pigment in a soft, shaded gradient — lighter at the front of the brow, gradually darker toward the tail. The effect resembles filled-in brows applied with brow powder or pomade. This technique is more suitable for oily skin types, which tend to break down microbladed hair strokes faster. Powder brows also last longer than microblading — typically 2 to 3 years before significant fading. The healing process involves less scabbing than microblading. Pricing from $300.

Lip Blush

Lip blush deposits a soft wash of pigment across the lips to enhance their natural color, improve symmetry, and define the lip border. Unlike permanent lipstick, which attempts to replicate a solid lip color, lip blush is meant to look like lips — but your best lips. The tint is subtle, the border slightly more defined, and the overall effect is lips that look naturally healthy and shaped. This treatment works particularly well for clients whose natural lip color has faded with age, whose lips are asymmetrical, or who simply want the confidence of defined lips without daily liner application. Two sessions are standard — the initial application and a touch-up at six weeks as the healed pigment settles. Results last 1 to 2 years. Pricing from $280.

Permanent Eyeliner

Permanent eyeliner deposits pigment along the lash line to create the effect of permanent liner — from a thin, natural-looking line to a more defined look. The most common choice is lash enhancement, which fills in the spaces between lashes to make lashes appear denser without a visible liner line. This is subtle to the point where clients describe it as “my lashes just look better.” A more visible liner line is also available. The upper lash line is the most common treatment area; lower lash line can be done but requires careful consideration given the proximity to the eye. Pricing from $250.

Aftercare

All permanent makeup procedures require a healing period of 10 to 14 days during which the area should be kept dry, clean, and free of makeup. Do not apply skincare products to treated areas during healing. Do not pick at or scratch the flaking skin that forms as the pigment heals. Avoid sun exposure on the treated area — UV breaks down cosmetic pigments quickly and should be blocked with SPF once healed. Retinol and glycolic acid products fade pigments over time and should be kept away from treated areas long-term.
